Bookstore Reading

I was walking around Barnes and Nobles the other day and witness this women knitting in one of the chairs. Now at first I was like ‘Why would you come to a bookstore to knit?”

Like what a freaking wierdo.

But then her little girl came out from behind one of the bookcases with a book in hand. The little girl sat down next to her mom and started to read the best she could, the mother would help when needed but really pushed for her daughter to be independent.

I found it to be a very interesting way in trying to improve your child’s reading skills. In a world ravaged by smartphones and television it is nice to see people taking reading serious.
