Weekly Haiku Challenge: Horizon

Can you hear them?

I know, it’s probably difficult

The bombs in the distance exploding

Destroying what you’ve held dear

Light to you may be fading

But listen to them singing.

For them the day is approaching

Hope is rising on the horizon

Let us serenade

While the bombs start to go off

Daybreak snuffs the dark

This is all part of Ronovan Writes “Weekly Haiku Challenge” I decided this week that I would take a haiku and make a longer version of it. Something that Ronovan likes to call a ‘Freku.’ It sounded like fun so I thought I would try it out.

If you would like to join then please click the link I provided above and have fun.
